Boyce Park

ski hotels

Just outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in a national park, you will find the small but busy resort of Boyce Park – named after the founder of The American Scouts. Despite its size it is very popular with the locals, who don’t want to drive to one of the bigger, more famous resorts in the area and are enticed by the bargain lift passes.

Boyce Park is made up from 5 lifts, 9 runs, a half-pipe, mogul slope and a timed run – making more than enough to keep skiers occupied over a weekend away. The “intense” nature of the resort is underlined by the fact that they also offer night skiing.

It never pretends to be anything other than a beginner’s resort, with the lodge offering views of the nursery slope – enabling parents to relax with a cup of coffee whilst the children burn off some energy. Check opening times before travelling out to Boyce Park, as it only opens in the afternoons on weekdays and all day on the weekends.
