The home of the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics for the ski jumping, bobsleigh, and luge events. The C.O.P. still maintains these facilities for training, competitions and of course, recreational purposes. Downhill skiing takes place in the shadow of the two massive ski jump hills and besides the bobsleigh run, down one side of the mountain in the ranges of 1130 to 1250 meters, using six lifts that service a handful of slopes.

You get the feeling that C.O.P. is not much more than a great day out. The skiing is somewhat limited, but there is also a chance to experience the real Olympic atmosphere by visiting the home of the Calgary flame, an Olympic museum and trying your hand at luge! With such a large globally recognized venue, parking, access and accommodation is not a problem.
