Primarily a beginner 's ski resort with six trails, Itter Ski Area is a great place to learn the ins and outs of skiing and boarding. The small village is located on a hill between Söll and the "other side" of the SkiWelt ski area at Hopfgarten. If you are looking for a quiet and not so crowded area, Itter is the place to go.
The main village skiing of Itter has three drag lifts that allow you to find your feet again after a summer’s rest or allow the children to ski in perfect safety whilst non-skiing parents watch from the local café. However just a short ski away you will find a gondola that allows you to access the SkiWelt’s endless possibilities for skiing with 290 kilometers of slopes and 90 lifts or Soll’s busier village with its shops and bars.

Itter is much more relaxed and family orientated than its neighbor Soll but Soll is also worth a visit on either skis or by the shuttle bus. Each of the villages in the SkiWelt area has their own unique charm, character and beautiful traditional Tyrolean architecture. The village of Itter has some great walking trails, shops, “hot-chocolate stops” and bars for some après-ski.
