Mount Vermio is home to the Greek resorts of Seli (1500m) and Tria-pente Pigadia (1420-2005m), it is 22km from Veroia and 96km from Thessaloniki, with approximately 1000 hotel beds split between the two resorts. It is a quiet mountain compared to the large resorts of Europe but affordable and a unique experience.
Seli is by far the biggest resort on the mountain, with three hotels and the best way to get to the area is to fly to Thessaloniki and then rent a car for the journey to Mount Vermio. By doing this you will be able to stop off at some of the beautiful villages on the way and sample the local delicacies. Try to avoid the resort at weekends as it can get crowded with Thessaloniki locals, but in the week it is more or less deserted.
