Vail, also located in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA, is somewhat similar to Aspen in that it tends to attract upmarket clientele interested in spending a lot of money and having a great time.  This has created a diverse and exciting range of entertainment options which has earned Vail the reputation as having one of the best nightlife scenes of any ski resort in the world.  An advantage that Vail has is that the village is car-less so it is easy for pedestrians to walk anywhere that they want to go.  Some of the favorite après ski activities in Vail include nighttime sledding, laser tag and enjoying the world-class gourmet restaurants.                  

Another American ski resort with a good reputation for nightlife and a variety of entertainment options is Heavenly, which is located on the border of California and Nevada.  The access to Nevada means that big gaming casinos are easily accessible and these provide a wealth of entertainment to suit all tastes. 

They attract pop and jazz performers, circus troupes and comedians, as well as the thrill and excitement of gambling.  Bars on the Nevada side are open 24 hours a day, so you can literally party all night should you choose to do so!  On the Californian side, The California Bar on the mountain is a popular choice for après ski beverages. 

According to many well-informed party animals, the European ski resort with the best nightlife is Val d’Isere in France.  A hugely popular bar in Val d’Isere is Folie Douce Apres ski bar.  Here you will be able to witness the hilarious sight of people attempting to dance the afternoon away in their heavy ski boots!  If you stop here for a few drinks after skiing, then it is highly advisable that you take the chair lift down to the bottom of the mountain, rather than attempting to ski down!

		Val d’Isere, France The bar on the mountain allows partying to begin early at Val d’Isere. You can listen to music, dance and drink until it’s time for the lifts to stop running. There are many great bars at the resort. Some have pools and live music. Several resort bars stay open until sunrise. This is a place to party.
		Jackson Hole, Teton Village, Wyoming, USA Live music starts in the afternoon at the Mangy Moose bar on the mountain. The food is plentiful and quite affordable. Later in the evening, the bars in Jackson start hopping. One particular bar, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar was used in the Clint Eastwood movie “Any Which Way You Can”. The barstools are made out of saddles. This place gets packed with locals and visitors alike and it’s the place to be for nightlife.
		Zermatt, Switzerland Zermatt is the best ski resort for nightlife. The partying actually begins on the slopes in any of the on-site restaurants. Food and drinks flow freely here and most skiers stay on the slopes until ten at night. That’s when the nightlife starts in the village at any of hundreds of restaurants and bars.
		Cerro Catedral, Bariloche, Argentina Cerro Catedral has the best après ski nightlife in Argentina. There are numerous bars to relax in and watch the sunset behind the mountains.
