Abzakovo is one of the more developed resorts in the Ural Mountains and located on the Trans Siberian Railway route. It is a popular snowboarding resort with 15km of piste more suited to beginners.
There are a total of thirteen slopes in total with a network of eight modern lifts. The town has restaurants and hotels. Ski rental and instruction is available and this is a popular resort with President Putin.
Abzakovo, rather unusually, has a small indoor aqua park. Other activities for winter visitors include skating and snowmobile treks.
