Albac is a collection of small villages in the Apuseni Mountains of Transylvania and a popular ski centre with French visitors.
The area is known for its traditional way of life and woodcarving. The ski centre in Albac has four runs aimed at beginner and intermediate level and two lifts. Night skiing is available and there are artificial snowmaking facilities.
