Alpine Valley Ski Resort is lauded to be Southeast Michigan’s mountain of fun. This is a beautiful resort that has breathtaking views worthy of being on postcards.
There are 25 trails, all of which are tree lined. The fourteen lifts keep the traffic moving and create minimal waiting time. There are eleven beginner slopes and six runs that are rated for intermediate level skiers. Eight advanced trails will keep experienced skiers rather busy. There are no trails for expert level skiers at Alpine Valley Ski Resort but the advanced level runs are truly high advanced so they will prove to be fun for a while. The vertical drop is about 300 feet and the longest run is roughly two thousand feet.
Alpine Valley has snow making capabilities for all of the trails. They ensure that all trails are up and running all season long. The fourteen lifts service the mountain from December through March. The trails are maintained in pristine condition.
The three terrain parks at Alpine Valley are bound to keep the enthusiast busy and happy. The half-pipe is 350 feet long and is a favorite for many snow lovers.
If you love après ski activities, you will really have a great time at the Hornet’s Nest Lounge. Naturally, they have a variety of beer, wine, liquor and cocktails to keep everyone happy. There is dancing and other entertainment as well. The views from the lounge are incredible.
Although not slope-side, lodging is available nearby. There are bed and breakfasts, motels and chain hotels in close proximity to the Alpine Valley Ski Resort.
