Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort boasts the highest base elevation in the state of Oregon and has the driest snow in the region as well. The vertical drop is around nine hundred feet and the top elevation is eight thousand feet. The alpine terrain covers 1,100 skiable acres with 21 trails. There are four beginner level trails, seven runs are dedicated to intermediate skiers and ten are strictly advanced trails. This resort is truly the advanced skiers dream come true. The longest run is one and one half miles long! Three lifts service the mountain.
There are nearly thirty-eight kilometers of Nordic terrain. The track set trails are rated at fourteen percent beginner, twenty-six percent for intermediates and a whopping sixty percent are advanced terrain.
Cat skiing is available at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort. These cat trips are phenomenal for skiers that love fresh, untouched powder. Skiers will have access to two thousand acres filled with steeps, glades and bowls. There are between one thousand and seventeen hundred feet for each cat run.
The cafeteria is reasonably priced and offers a variety of soups, chili, burgers, panninis, salads and pizza. For great fun après ski, the slope side Starbottle Saloon is the place to be. They have a wide variety of beer including some that are locally brewed and bottled. The nightly live entertainment will keep everyone happy and on the dance floor.
