Appalachian Ski Mountain is an incredible resort located in North Carolina. Its versatility draws skiers, boarders and skaters to the area. Although there are only twelve runs, there is plenty to do. There are three beginner, six intermediate and three advanced trails. Orchard Run is the longest trail at one half mile in length. There are five lifts servicing the mountain. The coolest thing about skiing at Appalachian Ski Mountain is that night skiing is available for all trails. Every single run there is lighted. The mountain can be skied from 9AM until 10PM! That is truly a full day of skiing for a very reasonable price.
There are three fabulous terrain parks at Appalachian Ski Mountain with nearly sixty various elements. Numerous rails, jibs, towers, boxes and wall rides will keep even the most expert rider busy. Ice skating is also available to keep non-skiers busy.
Appalachian Ski Mountain has four onsite cabins that are available as rentals. There are also bed and breakfasts and motels in the area. The lodging prices vary with the quality of the amenities.
Restaurants, bars, nightclubs and pool halls are available in town for après ski fun. Within a short drive from the mountain, there are theaters, malls and other things to do when not skiing.
