Better known as Les Carroz d’Araches, the area has 265 km of pistes, but none of them are cross-country, and seventy-two lifts serve the slopes. The area also has thirty-eight drag lifts, twenty-eight chair lifts, and six cable cars. Situated north of Mont Blanc, the ski areas encompass the entire mountain area. You can also take a dog sled ride or use quad bikes on the ice, and the town has bars, restaurants and several disco clubs.
Most of the runs are for beginner and intermediate skiers, and there is a snow park and a children’s park, and you can also enjoy snowboarding. If you need lessons in snowboarding, those are available too. You can reach the area by train or plane; there are two airports less than seventy-five km from the area – Annecy and Geneva
