The ski resort of Astun is located in the wonderful Aragon Valley, being one of Spain’s major resorts. It has 42 kilometers of downhill skiing between 1700 and 2300 meters altitude. Due to its position in the Spanish Pyrenees, the scenery is simply superb. Astun’s ski trails represent an excellent choice for both intermediate and advanced skiers. National competitions are held near this ski resort.
Many of them have become traditions and numerous foreign tourists come here to ski. There are also numerous routes along the Spanish-French Frontier and skiers who come here can see peaceful mountain lakes and beautiful views towards Pic du Midi. The area is worldwide known for its Golden Eagles, a vulture that flies fast due to its long narrow wings and wedge shaped tail. Tourists can eat and drink in several top class restaurants and pubs, located in the center of the resort.
