Badger Mountain Ski Area is a small ski area run solely by volunteers. Equipment rentals are free. Lessons are available at a nominal cost. This is a great hill for beginner level skiers and those brand new to the sport.
I was on a business trip when I learned about Badger Mountain. I was told that it was a small ski area run totally by community volunteers so I wanted to check it out. There are only a few runs and they are short but steep. They are meticulously kept. The children seemed to be having a wonderful time. Certainly not appropriate for an expert skier but an interesting ski area to visit. It's amazing to see how one community has worked together to make something so grand that can be enjoyed by all. Badger Mountain Ski Area is a small ski mountain in Waterville Washington. The resort is run by volunteers and the equipment rental is free. Lessons are available, but only sporadically through the season. There is a rope tow lift making the ski area a very affordable place. This is a great hill for the beginner skier who doesn't want the crowd or expense of trying out the sport. Heather Shephard
