This ski resort is located at the Italian entrance to the Frejus tunnel. Bardonecchia is one of the earliest popular Italian ski destinations. Even the last Italian King, Umberto, was a visitor of this beautiful place. The ski area consists out from two distinct parts: the area below Mt Jafferau (2807 meters) and the second one that can be accessed from outside the resort. This Italian ski resort has access to more than 140 kilometers of downhill skiing. There are 49 individual ski runs, served by 21 ski lifts. The ski lift capacity is pretty impressive. The 21 ski lifts are able to uplift almost 23,000 skiers and snowboarders per hour. Bardonecchia is a perfect tourist resort for weekend breaks or short ski holidays.
