The Bears Den Mountain Resort is a small ski area with loads of charm. It is located in the scenic region of the Sheyenne River Valley. There are 290 feet of vertical drop on twenty-five skiable acres. Nine trails will satisfy beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of skiers and riders. Bears Den Mountain Resort has a chair lift, a T-bar lift and two beginner tows. The longest run is 1 ¼ miles. There are ten snowboarding only runs. Snow making equipment can create powder for all of the trails. Night skiing is available and is quite popular there.
The warming chalet is a great little place for a warm cup of hot chocolate. They do have a minimal amount of warm food but not a lot of variety. Guests are permitted to bring coolers with food, if they so desire.
Lodging and dining is available nearby in town. There are a variety of motels of varying quality and price. Dining options are numerous as well and range from fast food places to chain restaurants and fine dining establishments. Most après ski activities center around the local sports bars, pool halls and bowling alleys.
