Beartown Ski Area is a not for profit resort that is run solely by volunteers. It is truly inexpensive to ski at this little resort. A poma and a T-bar service the nine trails. All of the trails are best suited for beginner level skiers and snowboarders. Most of the trails are rather wide but there are a few that are narrow and tree lined. The vertical drop is approximately 150 feet.
The Beartown Ski Area is open Thursday and Friday evenings for night skiing. It is also open on Saturday and Sunday. Holidays and school vacations are popular days to ski at Beartown.
The ski school at Beartown Ski Area is highly regarding by the locals. The instructors are well-trained and focus on safe skiing and riding practices. This is ideal for new beginners because the charges for lessons are very reasonable.
The prices at the base lodge are incredibly cheaper than other ski areas. The offerings are pretty minimal but definitely typical ski fare. Visitors may also bring their own picnic lunches.
There are no lodging or conventional dining spots at the resort. In town, there are a variety of lodging options. Restaurants speckle the area and range from fast food places to chain restaurants. The only après ski activities in the general vicinity are bars.
