The Beech Mountain Resort is a family friendly and customer service oriented ski area. The vertical rise is 830 feet and there are 95 skiable acres. There are fifteen trails of various terrains. Two trails are designated for beginners, seven are best for intermediate level skiers and riders and four are strictly for advanced enthusiasts. There are also two trails for freestyle terrain which are very popular among the guests. There are ten lifts which can move 9,300 skiers up the mountain per hour.
There are two terrain parks with a variety of elements at Beech Mountain Resort. Ice skating and snow tubing are also offered and quite popular with non-skiers. The snow making equipment can produce powder for all of the trails at the resort.
Lodging is available on and around Beech Mountain. There are tons of small ski cabins as well as numerous grand rental homes. Naturally, the price of lodging will depend upon the style of rental selected.
There are several full service restaurants on the mountain. The Old Fireplace Room and Bar located inside of the Alpen Restaurant is the most popular place for après ski fun. The full service bar and grill offers light fare such as burgers, appetizers and sandwiches. This is the place that locals and guests frequent the most.
