The ski resort Bjorkliden can be found within Sweden’s Lapland, making it the perfect choice for a Christmas destination. The surrounding area features amazing scenery and natural wonders, such as vast lakes and mountains. At an altitude of around 958m, Bjorkliden enjoys an annual reliable snowfall that gives excellent coverage for the ski season, which last longer than most countries, between December and May.
Bjorkliden has 24 pistes in total, comprising of two green slopes, eight blue runs, eleven red runs and three black runs, meaning the resort is suitable for skiers of all abilities, however it is particularly equipped to deal with skiers at advanced to expert levels. There are five surface lifts to the slopes, as well as 45km of cross-country skiing terrain.
There is also a snowboarding half pipe as well as a vertical drop of 530m on the mountain. Bjorkliden also offers four restaurants in which to relax after a long day of snow sports.
