If you're looking for hard core skiing with no frills at a fair price, Black Mountain is right up your alley. There is no wait for the lifts. They are not high tech but do the job. The whole time I was on the mountain, there may have been a total of forty skiers. This made for a great time. I would recommend Black Mountain to all skiers that don't care about the high tech stuff and just want to ski. Roseann Lahey

They offer a variety of slopes and even have horseback riding. They even offer a ski package where a 90 minute lesson is part of the package for free. They offer day care and have a variety of ski schools and lessons, including racing. They are able to manufacture snow for 98% of their terrain and offer 44 trails and glades for your pleasure. You will also find plenty of places to stay with lots of things to do. Horse drawn sleighs are something you will see on a regular basis.
