The Bobcat Ski Resort is located high in the mountains of upstate New York. There is a vertical drop of 1,050 feet with eighty acres of varied and skiable terrain. The average annual snowfall is about one hundred inches.
The resort only has twenty percent snow making capabilities so it is always wise to call ahead for mountain conditions. There are eighteen trails with twenty percent of them being designated as easy or beginner terrain. Half of the runs are dedicated to intermediate level enthusiasts. The remaining thirty percent of the trails are strictly for truly advanced level skiers and snowboarders.
Telemark skiing and snowshoeing are popular with visitors to Bobcat Ski Resort. Many snow enthusiasts love the fact that they can be off exploring new grounds on their own.
There is a wide variety of lodging facilities located nearby in town. They range from quaint little bed and breakfasts to chain type motels and hotels. Restaurants are plentiful. There are loads of fast food shops, delis, pizza parlors, chain restaurants and a few gourmet shops. The bars and pool halls are basically the only après ski options. The bars are in close proximity to each other so bar hopping would be quite easy and fun.
