Burke Mountain provides breathtaking views and rich skiing heritage. It has the Burke Mountain Academy which has a distinction of giving 45 Olympians to the country. The average snowfall in this area is 217 inches.
The terrain of this mountain is spread in 250 acres and the vertical drop of the mountain is 2011 feet. The 80% of the total 250 acres has a snowmaking system. The passes for trails can be picked up from East Burke village.
Burke Mountain has 45 trails with each one put in a category. All the trails are divided into three categories – novice, intermediate and expert. Burke caters to four terrain parks where free style skiers are allowed and can keep your family member busy who is not sure of the category to which he belongs.

My family went to Burke Mountain with friends for a day. Our friends are their children are beginners and they certainly enjoyed themselves. We are at the expert level and would have liked more variety. It was nice to sit in the lodge to eat while watching all of the children in the beginner area. The food was fine and we did enjoy the mid-slope bar! Burke is a very nice ski area, especially for families. Roseann Lahey
