The Buttermilk ski area is located at Aspen, CO. This is a small resort in the area. They specialize in snowboarding and beginner skiers. They cater heavily to both.
They have a world renowned ski school. They offer 44 runs with 9 lifts, 2 of which are specially designated for the beginners.
The world’s longest terrain park is located at this location with two miles of features which include a super pipe and more than 30 rails along with beginner sections so everybody is included.
With Aspen nearby there is a lot of things that can be done if you are not a skier. It also means lots of nightlife and restaurants and lodging in the area. Ensuring this is one of the places to be, especially if you are a beginner at skiing or a snowboarder.
Buttermilk is a lovely area specifically designed mostly for beginner level skiers. They do have a super pipe and loads of rails to enjoy. My sons had a wonderful time boarding at Buttermilk.There were many families watching their little ones during ski lessons. This is a lovely place even for adult beginners. They have many runs, almost fifty. Most are dedicated to beginners and snowboards. This is the only area that I have come across in my many years of skiing that was created mainly for beginners and snowboarders. What a wonderful place to learn to ski! Roseann Lahey
