Campgaw Mountain Ski Resort is New Jersey’s premier ski area. It is the closest resort to New York City, which makes it quite popular. This small resort is perfect for the new beginner skier or rider. With snow making equipment that covers 100 percent of the terrain, there is always fresh snow available.
There are only eight trails at Campgaw Mountain Ski Resort. Four runs are strictly of use by beginners, two trails are for intermediates and two are designated for advanced snow enthusiasts. Night skiing is offered until 8PM.
There is a terrain park at Campgaw Mountain Ski Resort. It has enough various elements to thrill all levels of enthusiasts. The jumps, boxes and rails are changed often to keep the interest of freestyle riders.
The snow tubing area is quite popular with the non-skiing and non-boarding crowd. The 800 foot run is serviced by its own lift for quicker access to the top of the hill.
Lodging options are plentiful because of its close proximity to New York City. There are 5 star hotels and small motels nearby. There are no lodging facilities on the mountain.
Restaurants abound in the area. There are dozens of fast food joints for those that want a quick meal. Numerous diners, delis and full service restaurants are nearby. With a short drive to NYC, very prestigious establishments can be found.
The après ski activities are endless. There are loads of pubs, nightclubs and lounges in town. Pool halls, movie theaters, bowling alleys and shopping malls are not far away. High end nightclubs are twenty minutes away in NYC.
