This inviting mountain haven is located in South Western Alberta and can be reached by car from Calgary in about 2.5 hours or from the US border in about 1.5 hours. There are also coaches and buses from various cities that take visitors to this resort tucked between the Rocky Mountains. The area is covered with magnificent mountain ranges, sweeping river valleys and incredible vistas.

There are six lifts allowing skiers to use the 78 trails rated Beginner -15%, Intermediate – 40%, Advanced – 35% and Expert- 10%. The Lifts operate from 9:00AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and from 9:00AM to 4:00PM on weekends. The operating hours may be subject to change depending on resort closures due to dangerous winds or avalanches.
There is a groomed cross country trail along with dining facilities such as Barnaby Steak House, T-Bar Pub and Grill and Castle Mountain Day Lodge where families can enjoy their evenings. One of the highlights of this resort is the emphasis on children’s activities. Child care is available and lessons on skiing and snowboarding are offered.
