Cerro El Fraile is located at 1600metres above sea level with magnificent views of the Frio and Polux lakes in Chile. Spread over 550 hectares skiers will enjoy runs through forests of Antarctic birch. The resort has 2 ski lifts and 5 runs ranging in length from 600metres to 2200 metres. Cerro El Fraile is located 29km from Coyhaique and has equipment repair and rental facilities and a small restaurant.
The resort is suitable for all levels, particularly intermediate skiers and has a ski school. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday during winter holidays and Thursday to Sunday at other times.
