Chicopee Hill ski area, Canada

This ski club is in the hills created by a glacier that started retreating almost 12,000 years ago. This winter wonderland covers 165 acres of ski and snowboard terrain filled with majestic mountains and panoramic vistas. Run by a not-for-profit organization, this ski hill is minutes away from Southern Ontario’s Highway 401 in Toronto and central to Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. 

The ski hill opens at 9AM and stays open until 3PM on weekends. On weekdays, the operating hours are from 8:30AM – 4:30PM.

Chicopee Hill has 14 runs of 36 acres of beautiful countryside.  The longest run here is 2000 ft and the vertical drop is 200 ft. There are 2 magic carpets, 2 double chairs and 2 triple chairs which increase uphill capacity to 9000 people per hour.

The slope is rated Beginner – 4, Intermediate – 5 and Difficult – 5. The average annual snowfall here is 159.5 cm (62.8 inches) and snowmaking is 100% of the area.

Visitors can stay in many of the hotels and motels of Chicopee. Events here include Ski down Wednesdays, Chill Freestyle Series and Ski Tele-mark Clinic.
