Chile skiing

Nature lovers should consider Chile, where you can choose between views over volcanoes, lakes, the sea, falls, and forests, for their next skiing trip. The Republic of Chile is located on the continent of South America, between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Coast. Because of its location in the Southern Hemisphere, it offers summer skiing and snowboarding from June to October, just like its neighbor Argentina. The Andes Mountains are the highest mountains outside Asia and the wide range of ski resorts in Chile leaves skiers and snowboarders of all levels spoiled for choice.

Chile's ski resort Valle Nevado is the biggest resort in South America with twenty three thousand acres. All resorts offer modern and high standard facilities and some of the bigger ones even have saunas, thermal baths, fitness centers, swimming pools, day-care centers, and a casino. Skiing lessons and rental equipment are readily available in all resorts. The combination of challenging terrain, great nightlife (which starts very late, often around 11 p.m.), beautiful scenery, and Latin American culture make Chile well worth a visit.
