Cockaigne Ski Resort is a family friendly ski area in western New York State. It boasts a whopping 275 inches of snowfall each year. The resort offers beginner lessons which are affordably priced.
There are five trails at Cockaigne Ski Resort. Two are for beginners and two are ranked for intermediate level skiers and boarders. One trail is dedicated solely to advanced snow enthusiasts. The runs are a combination of the wide New York style slopes and the narrow, tree lined slopes popular in New England. Evening skiing is available.
There are several 19th century bed and breakfasts in the area. They are quite reasonable and offer comfortable and spacious rooms with a full, hot breakfast in the morning. Motels are sprinkled about the area and vary in quality and amenities.
Restaurants are abundant in the area. There are numerous fast food joins, delis, diners and chain restaurants. Almost any style of cuisine can be found nearby.
The après ski activities are rather limited. There are bars and nightclubs within driving distance and some have entertainment in the evenings. A movie theater is not too far away from the Cockaigne Ski Resort.
