Combloux ski resort, France

This is a lovely mountain village, and is ideal for snowboarding – it even has a snow park for it. For skiing, it is a great place for intermediate skiers, and good for beginners and experts. The town sits in France, near the Swiss border, and has 7 black runs, 28 red, 17 blue ones, and 12 green runs. The area has mostly downhill slopes, 62 km of them, and 15 km of cross country runs.

This town is part of the Ski Pass Mont Blanc Area, which has upwards of 350 pistes to choose from. Six airports service the area, and the Geneva and Chambery airports are the closest. Upwards of 30 hotels serve the area, and some are right on the slopes. With others, they have shuttles that run you back and forth between the skiing area. There are also restaurants in the area serving French and Swiss cuisine.
