There aren’t any snowmaking capabilities at Cottonwood Butte Ski Area. They rely completely on Mother Nature’s ability to bring the needed fluffy, white powder. It is wise for visitors to call first.
With a vertical drop of 845 feet, there are 260 skiable acres. The 7 actual trails are serviced by a T-bar and a rope tow. There are several areas that will challenge even the most experienced, double black diamond snow enthusiast.
Lodging is available nearby. The options are mostly small motels which are either independently or chain owned. Priced vary according to quality and amenities. A few bed and breakfasts are available in the area and are reasonably priced.
