Courmayereur ski resort, Italy

Courmayereur is a charming Italian village located just over 100km from Geneva airport and 150km from Turin.

Courmayereur is a great holiday location for tourists who haven’t got their heart on skiing day and night. The village is old and pretty and there are plenty of things to do and explore when not on the slopes. Cable cars and gondola operate from the village to the slopes which are on the opposite side of the valley. The skiing is mainly intermediate and there are two sections for skiers to access, Checrouit and Val Veny.

A highlight of the resort is the ability to access the shoulder of Mount Blanc, and then access the Vallee Blanche run to Chamonix

Courmayereur is not so good for boarders are there are no terrain parks or half pipes. Beginners may have trouble here as well as the nursery slopes are not ideal and limited easy runs. Cross country is good and there are 35km or beautiful trails.

Restaurants are plentiful offering traditional Italian fare, with some being very upmarket and have excellent reputations for fine dining. Hotels are plentiful as well, with over 50 to choose from of varying ratings and pricings. A lively night scene attracts a vibrant party set.
