There are 57 named trails and tons of backcountry acres to ski and ride. Eleven percent of the trails are suitable for beginners. Intermediates have access to 54 percent of the runs. The remaining 35 percent are trails designated for advanced and expert skiers and riders. The longest trail is 2 ½ miles. The 12 lifts can move nearly 21,000 people per hour which eliminates any waiting time.
There are three hotels located at the base of the slopes. The Alpine Inn offers ski in ski out lodging at reasonable prices. The rooms are cozy and clean. Ski and Sleep packages are offered and make for some sweet deals.
Numerous restaurants are on the mountain. Visitors can choose from quick meals such as burgers and sandwiches to full service, gourmet meals. Naturally, the prices vary by restaurant.
The Snorting Elk Cellar is the only place to go for après ski on the mountain. This full service pub is decorated in Bavarian motif. Guests, staff and even the ski patrol hang out there after having a blast on the slopes all day.
