Dry Hill Ski Area is a small ski hill located in upstate New York. There are 42 skiable acres and 300 feet of vertical drop. The average snowfall is 125 inches per year. There isn’t any snowmaking equipment at Dry Hill Ski Area. They rely solely on the generosity of Mother Nature.
There are seven trails available for skiing and boarding. Two are set aside for beginners and three are rated as intermediate runs. The remaining two trails are for use by advanced snow enthusiasts. Dry Hill Ski Area is also capable of providing access for disabled skiers. Night skiing is available as the hill closes at 10PM.
The terrain park is popular with local teens. Snow tubing is available at Dry Hill Ski Area.
There are several small motels in the area. The independently owned ones are a bit cheaper than the chain motels. Bed and breakfasts are also nearby.
Dining options are many. Fast food joints are sprinkled throughout the area and offer burgers, chicken and tacos. Pizza parlors, sandwich shops and full service restaurants are plentiful.
There are plenty of pubs and sports bars in Watertown for après ski fun. Some have live entertainment on the weekend.
