The ski resort of Durau is located in the northeast of
Romania, in Neamt County, Moldavia, amidst gorgeous surroundings and favourable temperatures. The resort is small and intimate in size and sits at an altitude of around 800m at the foot of the Ceahlau Mountains, enjoying a reliable snowfall between the months of December to March.
Durau is considered to be an ideal place for skiing at any level, from beginner to advanced. There is one slope - Poiana Soarelui - that stands at a good length of 450m. The slope features one ski lift for access to the run. Durau is also a well-known location for other snow sports, including sledging. The surrounding area of Durau plays host to various accommodation choices, ranging from hotels to guesthouses to suit different budgets and needs. The resort is suitable for most group sizes, although the accommodation choices may not be ideal for larger groups.
