Gstaad is a tourist resort situated at 1050 meters above the actual sea level, in the German-speaking section, in the Swiss Canton of Berne.
Gstaad is part of the Saanen municipality, being known mostly for its most luxurious and exquisite ski resorts in the entire world.
Also, Gstaad is the location of the Institut Le Rosey’s winter campus, which is the most important ski school in the entire world, for almost 100 years (it has begun its activity in the year of 1916).

This ski resort is very well known for its most exquisite hotels and apartment centers, together with its luxurious shopping centers and frantic and vibrant nightclubs. In terms of winter sports activities, Gstaad is the patria of ski, having one of the largest ski areas in the entire Alps, not only in Switzerland. From the 1960’s, this ski resort is word-renown as a top one.
It was built with lots of internal and foreign investments, together with a lot of hard work and consequence. So, each and every tourist will see here a real mountain artwork, mostly because there are numerous new and modern buildings.
Also, the center of this village is a carefree area since the year of 1997. On the entire village’s Promenade, there are numerous expensive high quality shops, bars, restaurants and hotels. Although these are expensive places, do not forget the fact that high quality is having its price and all of the tourists that are coming here understand this fact (like in each and every town or city in Switzerland).
But the Swiss tourist resort of Gstaad is not only known for the ski activities that are held here, but also for other sport activities, not just winter sport ones. It is currently hosting the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad Tennis Tournament and also the “1 to 1 Energy Open” Beach Volleyball Tournament and the “Hublot Polo Gold Cup” Polo Tournament. So, now you are really having the large image over Gstaad.
