Huilo-Huilo is located in a Biological Nature reserve and has a rainforest temperate zone as well as a large area suitable for skiing. This is a ski area under development on the side of the Mocho Volcano and has some spectacular powder ski runs in this area as well as near the Lengas Forest.

Huilo-Huilo is the only ski resort in South America to have summer skiing and the snow park has jumps, downhill runs, half pipe and rails. Snowboarding and snow shoeing are also readily available in the resort. Huilo-Huilo has some hot springs in the Nature Reserve, ideal for relaxing after skiing.
