India skiing

Skiing in India means awe-inspiring views over the mountains, and lots of fresh snow. The Republic of India, in South Asia, is a good option for those who fancy an adventurous skiing holiday. Most of the Indian ski resorts are located in The Himalayas, the highest and wildest mountains on our planet. These resorts offer panoramic views over mountainss, and vast, unexplored valleys of pristine, powdered snow for you to explore.

Don’t expect European standards in accommodation and facilities, even though India has invested in the ski industry in recent years to attract more tourists. Locals are proud to tell you that the Gulmarg gondola is the highest in the world. India has slopes for all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, and its ski season runs from December to March. Most resorts do offer rental equipment, but it can be pretty outdated; you would be safer to bring your own gear. Prices for travel and accommodation are still low and a lift-pass will only set you back just over $10. Indian cuisine relies heavily on spices and herbs, and vegetarianism is widespread.
