This mountain has an altitude of 1913 metres (6276 ft) which is about the average altitude of mountains in this area. Jahorina was the site of women’s alpine skiing events during the 1984 Winter Olympics. It is the largest ski area in the country in terms of area.
This ski mountain has 20 km of ski tracks and other facilities for skiing, hiking and sledding. There are many Olympic as well as less difficult trails for skier of all ages and expertise. The ski season begins in mid-December and usually ends in late January.
A total of eight fully capable lifts and one baby lift deliver a total uphill capacity of 7500 skiers per hour. The eight adult lifts include four Double chairs and four surface lifts. The ski lifts go all the way up to 1,894 metres and offer the skiers a fantastic view of Sarajevo and surrounding areas.

Night skiing is offered in Jahorina Ski Area on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 PM to 10 PM. This ski resort also offers indoor swimming pool, medical centre, information centres, restaurants, cafes and internet access for skiers.
There is a ski instruction school here that teaches children and adults alike. There is also an equipment rental facility on this location.
