Kirovsk is situated in the Murmansk region of Northern Russia and the Hibiny Mountains are very popular with tourists. There are three main areas in the resort. Mount Aykuayvenchorr has both Northern and South sides devoted to skiing and Kukisvumchorr. Snowboarding is very popular here, particularly on the South slope of Aykuayvenchorr.
Kirovsk has 5 ski lifts and runs to suit all levels. Being in the Arctic Circle this is the perfect place to view the Northern lights. Bears are known to inhabit the mountains. There are good hotels and restaurants and ski rental is available.
