Close to the Slovenian border with Austria and Italy in the Upper Cariola region of the north-western part of the country is the ski resort of Kranjska Gora. Kranjska Gora is located in the narrow valley between the Julian Alps and the Karavanke, boasting spectacular views. At an altitude of 800-1623m the area is granted with an annual reliable snowfall extending the ski season between November to April.

The resort is best suited to skiers at an intermediate level, however there are also opportunities for beginners and advanced skiers, with 30km worth of slopes serviced by twenty-three lifts. The slopes comprise of 50% green beginner slopes, 40% intermediate blue and 10% of advanced red runs.
The area has 75% of snowmaking capabilities as well as a large number of restaurants to enjoy some relaxation after a heavy impact day. Cross-country skiers will also enjoy the 40km of terrain through the beautiful scenery. There is also slope-side accommodation.
