An impressive ski resort near the Kranj and Ljubljana towns of Slovenia is Krvavec, standing between 1450-1971m of altitude with superb panoramic views. Snow is guaranteed for 100 days during ski season with 90% snowmaking possibilities included on various slopes.
Krvavec is considered to be mainly for the intermediate skier, with 60% of the pistes being of that level, with 20% beginner and 20% advanced. There is 106 hectares of skiing area, with 56 hectares devoted to ski slopes ranging at around 35km in length.
There are a total of 23 pistes with one halfpipe on the site. The summit of these slopes is 1970m, with a 521m drop. The slopes are serviced by seven chair lifts and two surface lifts, as well as a cable car. Although there is no accommodation directly on the slope-side, there are a number of hotels, chalets and other accommodation options surrounding the Krvavec area.
