Lebanon, with some of its ski resorts offering up to 5 months of skiing a year, has slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
Each of these ski resort has its own unique characteristics and will appeal to different types of ski enthusiasts. Lebanon’s main attractions are the weather—often sunnier and calmer than in European ski resorts—and the prices, which are still low compared to other skiing destinations.
The relative proximity of the mountains to the coast, combined with the Lebanese climate, allows you to go skiing in the morning and go swimming, rafting or fishing in the ocean in the afternoon. Skiing in Lebanon is still relatively undiscovered, but growing rapidly with the majority of visitors coming from the surrounding countries and Europe.
For some people, security has been an issue in deciding whether or not to go to Lebanon on holiday, but for many others, this exotic country with its relaxed atmosphere, offers enough to leave politics behind.
