Lonesome Pine trail is a nice small hill situated in downtown Fort Kent This ski area here is not very large. This region does not have any snow making capabilities but regardless of this factor the conditions here are conducive for skiing and the skiing season here goes on from December to April.
It is the first place in the east to receive snow and the last to lose it in the springtime. Solitude and snow are found in abundance here, but it has only been recently that it began attracting skiers from other parts of the country.
The place still continues to remain an offbeat destination and is more crowded by moose rather than by people. Cafeteria bar, t-bar, base lodge, ski school, rental shop and pony lift are some of the other services available here.
