Los Arenales Ski Centre is 8km from Lonquimay and is set amongst beautiful forests and abundant in wildlife at 1250 metres above sea level. There are six ski runs with mixed abilities from beginner to expert and nine lifts servicing the resort. One trail crosses a monkey puzzle forest. A refuge is available as overnight accommodation and there is a cafeteria. Los Arenales has a good ski school and equipment rental facilities. Views of the Southern Chilean volcanoes are available from the top of the ski runs. Snowboarding is also available in Los Arenales.
