Mavrovo is a major ski resort in Macedonia located on the slopes of the Bistra Mountain. There is an excellent mix of runs from advanced to beginner and intermediate and with three chairlifts and eleven drag lifts having a capacity of 10,000 skiers an hour the resort is a popular one.
Mavrovo has a ski school and hotels, set amidst magnificent views of the Mavrovo Reservoir, famed for its trout. A purpose built trail and half pipe will keep snowboarders occupied and there are good off piste skiing facilities in this ski centre.
