Mont Cascades ski resort, National Capital Region, Canada

The town of Cantley in Quebec is located within Canada’s National Capital Region and was founded in 1830. Tucked into the rivers and valleys that dot this picturesque region is the Mont Cascades which opened during the 1960s. Visitors arrive here through the Quebec International Airport or after a 20 minute drive from the Ottawa International Airport.

The Mont Cascades Water Park which is the largest in this region as well as the largest Cross Country ski club in the National Capital Region is located here in this area.
The hours of operation at Mont Blanc is Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 10 PM, Saturday from 8:30 AM – 10 PM and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 9 PM.

The vertical drop here is 165 meters(525 ft) and the Summit elevation is 305 m. There are 20 runs on this ski area and night skiing is offered on 15 of them. The longest way down is “Gratton” which is 2 km in length. The trails are rated Beginner – 20%, Intermediate – 55%, Advanced – 20% and Expert – 5%.

All trails are groomed and snowmaking is 95% of skiable terrain. There are five lifts including a brand new Quad lift, a Triple Chair lift, 2 double chair lifts and 1 magic carpet which gets 6000 people uphill per hour.

Visitors come here from all over the world to ski, snowboard or play in the Mont Cascades Waterpark with SplashForest, Black Magic, Mammoth River Kamikaze, Tornado Alley, Vortex and children’s rides in summer.
