Edmundston is one of Canada’s newest cities and it is located in the northwest corner of New Brunswick, Atlantic Canada. This city is surrounded by Appalachian Mountains and shares its borders with Maine and Quebec. Mont Farlagne is on Exit 13 and can be reached via land or by air through the Edmundston Airport.
Mont Farlagne began operations for the first time in January 1969 managed by Edmundston Ski Ltd with four trails with only one lit for night skiing. In 2004, the ski club was bought by Mr. Jacques Gallant and family and over 50,000 visitors arrive here annually.
This ski area is open Tuesday from 5:00PM – 10:00PM. On Wednesday through Friday, the park is open form 10:00AM to 10:00PM and on Saturday from 9:30AM – 10:00PM. Mont Farlagne is closed on Monday.
There are 21 trails here marked Beginner - 33% Intermediate – 29% and Advanced – 38% and serviced by five lifts including a double, a quad, 1 T-bar, for an uplift capacity of 4,220 visitors per hour.
The season here starts on 15th December and ends on the 12th of April. The elevation at this site is 323 meters with a vertical drop of 183 meters.
Helmets are mandatory at all time in the snow park. Facilities include a flast rail of 10 ft by 6 inches for beginner skiers and an Up rail of 15 ft by 6 inches for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. It also has a trapeze rail of 25 ft by 6 inches for intermediate skiers and a box of 15 ft by 2 ft for Beginner skiers.
