Canton De Hatley is a small township in Quebec which is known for its picturesque surroundings including the Lake Massawippi and the recreational center of MountJoy. Visitors can also arrive here from the town of Sherbrooke or via bus or car from the Quebec Airport in Canada.
The base elevation here is 500 ft (192 meters) and the summit elevation is 1,250 ft (381 meters). The vertical drop is 630 ft (192 meters).
There are 24 well groomed ski hills rated Beginner – 56%, Intermediate – 22% and Expert – 22%. The longest run is 2,500 ft (762 meters).
There is a Quad chair lift as well as a T-bar and a Ski tow delivering a total capacity of 2,000 persons per hour. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 10 PM, On Saturday the ski hill opens at 8:30 AM and closes at 10 PM. On Sundays, the operating hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
Alpine skiing and Night skiing are offered in Mont Joye. There is a Terrain Park and a Half Pipe on this ski mountain.
