Mont Sainte-Anne, Canada

Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a village in La Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality in Quebec. A beautiful land with rolling hills and gently sloping valleys, this site is a major Roman Catholic place of Pligrimage at the junction of two rivers, The Saint Anne River and The Saint Lawrence River. This ski area is only about 30 minutes away from Quebec City.

This is the home of “The Beast”, a double-black diamond trails steep enough to trip even the most expert of skiers. The 465 acres of breathtaking scenery that Mont Sainte-Anne stands on has been the host of many World Cup events over the last few decades.

The altitude at the summit of Mont Sainte-Anne is 800 meters (2,625 ft) and the vertical drop is 625 meters (2,050 ft). The total area covered by Mont Sainte-Anne is a gigantic 2165 acres!

There are 66 ski trails on Mont Sainte-Anne which are rated Beginner – 23%, Intermediate – 45%, Advanced – 18% and Expert – 14%. 17 of these trails offer night skiing too.

The natural snowfall is annually around 475 cm (187 inches) and snowmaking is about 80%.

Mont Sainte-Anne is serviced by 12 lifts including 1 high speed 8-seat Gondola, 2 Quad chairs, 1 Triple, 1 Double and 6 surface lifts for an uphill capacity of a massive 18,560 skiers per hour!

In addition to Alpine Skiing, Mont Sainte-Anne also offers Cross-Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Dogsledding, Paragliding, Canyoning on ice and Icc Skating.
