This beautiful mountain is located about an hour from downtown Ottawa and about 45 minutes from Gatineau. Mont Ste-Marie has the highest vertical between the Laurentians and the Rockies. This ski mountain is open from 9 AM to 4 PM all week. The only day it is closed is on Dec 25. There is no night skiing here.
The vertical is 381 (1,251 ft) meters over a vast terrain of 100 acres. There are 20 trails rated Beginner – 25%, Intermediate – 40%, Advanced – 20% and Expert – 15%.
The average annual snowfall is about 300 cm and snowmaking is 100%.
There are 3 lifts including two High Speed Quad chairs and 1 surface lift for a lift capacity of 5,900 persons per hour.
Mont Ste-Marie is also known for mountain Golfing. With the background of the Gatineau hills, the 18-hole Golf Course offers a challenging layout as well as facilities such as luxury golf cards and club house for après Golf.
